I attended massage school at Hands on Approach in Dallas, Texas and obtained my license in massage therapy. I continued my education at Hands on Approach with their Advanced Program (200 hours). This is where I learned deep tissues, trigger point among other modalities. I did work study to pay for this part of my education and it was an amazing experience. In 2007, I began working at Dallas Colon Care Center (dallascoloncarecenter.com) where I was a massage therapist. I am currently still working for them.
In February of 2017 I completed working for Dr. Norm Rittenberry’s chiropractor office. This is where my love for therapeutic work was born. It was nice getting to see people get better and knowing that I was a part of the process. In 2010, I began to study lymphatic drainage and completed over 60 hours of study. Why do we need to manually move the lymph system? Basically, because we are a sedentary in our life style. We do not move our bodies enough to make the system work at maximum efficiency. Why is moving your lymph important to your body? Everything that eats must waste. Each cell in your body is constantly eating. The lymph nodes hold the toxins that are pulled from other areas of the body. If these nodes become full, the storage tanks are closed. When this happens, the cells begin to look for other ways to store toxins and create their own “waste” cells. These are referred to as mutant cells. Hence, cancer, auto immune problems, etc.
At the end of 2015, my family moved to Mabank, Texas to enjoy the slower pace of life. I wanted to work closer to home so that I could spend more time with my family. In March of 2017 I began my career at The Retreat where I have been given the opportunity to practice the technics that I love. I look forward to meeting you and having you as a client. Thank you and have a blessed day.
